Massachusetts By Joslyn from Gail, Texas Amitabh Jordan - 12-08-09 Air date.Amitabh Jordan was born in a small town in Western NY State Eden, NY and had many incarnations before deciding that his clairvoyant ability was his life's work.[1] After studying visual arts at the Massachusetts Institute of Art in the 1970's, he moved to the Berkshires and became the caretaker of a historical home, where he painted and thought and hiked, and very occasionally gave clairvoyant readings to close friends.[2] In 1976 he moved to New York City to paint and do performance art.[3] During this period he briefly lived at the avant garde arts center Franklin Furnace, which was a much-loved performance space and artists' book archive.[4] He had solo shows at The Kitchen and other galleries and venues.[5] Around this time Ami taught himself to sew and began ...
